Historic Rock Creek Cemetery lies at the heart of the nation’s capital, on the edge of the culturally diverse Petworth neighborhood. Easily accessible from houses of worship and funeral parlors from throughout the DC area, the Cemetery is close to President Lincoln’s Cottage, Catholic University, and the Armed Forces Retirement Home (Soldier’s Home).
The Cemetery is convenient to both the Fort Totten and Georgia Avenue/Petworth Metro stations.
Grounds Hours
Grounds are open daily – including holidays:
Fall/Winter Hours (October – March): 7am – 5pm
Spring/Summer Hours (April – September): 7am – 7pm
Office Hours
Cemetery Office is open Monday through Friday.
9 a.m. until 5 p.m.
The office is closed on all holidays
